The short version

  • We keep what you put in Sunnier so the app can run your business.
  • We never sell it, and we don’t use it for ads.
  • You can delete your account, and everything in it, from the app.

What we keep

  • Your account: your name, email, phone number, business name and settings.
  • Your business: customers, cars, addresses, bookings, prices, photos, and the notes and messages you write in Sunnier.
  • Your location, only if you allow it: to show drive time to your next job and, if you choose to share it for the day, to show your team where you last worked.
  • How you use the app: which screens you open and when something breaks. This is tied to your account so we can fix problems and make Sunnier better.

Your texts and contacts

If you look for old customers in Messages, the conversations stay on your iPhone, and your contacts are used there to match names. When you add people from your contacts or keep someone from Messages, Sunnier saves only those people, as customers.

AI writing

When Sunnier writes a first draft of a text, we send OpenAI only what the draft needs: your business name, your customer’s first name, their car and last service, and, if you turn on Learn my style, a few of your past messages. Never phone numbers or addresses. OpenAI doesn’t use it to train its AI.

Your customers’ information

Businesses put their customers’ details into Sunnier. The business decides what goes in, and we use it only to run Sunnier for that business.

Some pages are made for customers, like referral pages, gift cards and passes. When someone fills out a referral page, we collect their first name, phone number, the service they want, and their OK to be contacted, and we pass it to that business so it can text or call them.

Who helps us run Sunnier

These companies get only what their job needs:

  • Clerk, for signing in
  • Google Cloud, where Sunnier’s information is stored
  • Google Maps, for addresses and places
  • Polar, for payments
  • OpenAI, for AI drafts
  • Sentry and Logfire, to find and fix errors
  • PostHog, to see how the app and website are used
  • Apple, to deliver the app and notifications

Our website

This website uses PostHog to see how people use it: the pages they view, what they tap, how far they scroll, and recordings of the visit, with anything typed hidden. It uses no cookies, doesn’t know your name, and keeps a visit only until you close the tab.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is open. When you delete your account, you lose access right away, your plan stops, and we delete your business’s information within 30 days. We keep only what the law requires, like billing and tax records, and short security logs.

Your choices

You can ask us to show you, fix, send you a copy of, or delete your information. Email hello@sunnier.app and we’ll answer within 45 days. We won’t treat you differently for asking.

California: you have these rights under California law. We don’t sell or share personal information for ads.

Keeping it safe

Information travels encrypted, and only the people who run Sunnier can reach it. Sunnier is for business owners and their teams, not for children.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we’ll tell you in the app before it takes effect. The rules for using Sunnier are in our Terms.
